"The Best B和 in the Bay"
The Spartan 军乐队, under the direction of 克雷格·麦肯齐, takes the field in Spartan Stadium each 秋季学期, creating an electrifying atmosphere for the thous和s of fans engaged by our thrilling performances. Our unique combination of brass, woodwind 和 percussion creates a driving sound that is 一个 of a kind. 与 the addition of the dazzling 护旗队, 和 the fabulous 菠菜网lol正规平台 Dancers, the b和 also has a visual style uniquely its own.
The members of the Spartan 军乐队 are students from every field of study on campus, from first year undergraduate through graduate students, including several "开放大学”成员. They rehearse eight hours per week, preparing new music 和 maneuvers, 和 receive up to two units of academic credit. At each home game, the Spartan Marching B和 performs a completely new halftime show, plus a pre-game show 和 a post-game 音乐会. A source of Spartan Stadium spirit, the b和 reflects all the color 和 fanfare of major university sports pageantry. As well as our football games, the Spartan marching B和 also performs at major school 和 community events throughout the year.

学生 wishing to audition for the 斯巴达仪仗队 need to come to the first several days of rehearsal each August. This is when the auditions will take place, 和 the membership will be set fairly quickly. 学生 should have some prior color guard experience, usually coming from high school b和, drum 和 bugle corps or winter 警卫队成员. 学生 chosen become members of the Spartan 军乐队 class 和 receive 两个单位的信用.

菠菜网lol正规平台 Dance team auditions are held each spring to determine membership for the following 秋季学期. Most dancers that audition have had many years of dance studio experience in a variety of dance styles. High school seniors are welcome to audition. 学生 who are chosen will become members of the Spartan 军乐队 class 和 receive 两个单位的信用.
